Alizee Dufraisse: Le Mur 24 Hours in Oloron

Congratulations to prAna Ambassador Alizee Dufraisse on making the podium at the world famous Le Mur 24 Hours in the women’s Grand Final!


Le Mur 24 Hours is the only French event to be included in the calendar of the International Mountain Climbing Federation (IFSC.) It is held on October fifth and sixth in Oloron Sainte-Marie in the Pyrenees, there are some 250 participants and nearly 5,000 spectators. { } The rules are simple, 24 hours to achieve maximum points by climbing any or all of the 80 routes. It is Open to all, the event allows fans to “climb” alongside their idols. Routes are graded 5c to 8b. Points are gained by the climbers top-five hardest routes. In the end, there will be 32 finalists: eight men and eight women amateurs, eight men and eight women experts. Around the competition, many events are held throughout the weekend in a festive “Made in South-West” atmosphere. Wall climbing for children, aperitif offered by the club, gourmet and festive meal on Saturday night, free jazz and rock concerts, and many exhibitors host the event. Not to mention, the three main phases which will punctuate the weekend: Extreme Challenge Diablo routes, the Amateur Finals and the Grand Final Experts.” via ~Gripped Magazine
